Pictures from last few days

Hope decided to put her pom-poms in the cabinet during the Bears game after watching the first part of the game. The cabinet shown in the picture on the left is her favorite to pull plastic containers out of. It's one of two cabinets that we let her open without having to pull her away immediately. We've locked up the important cabinets but some are tough to keep closed. We don't want to drill holes in the cabinets since we don't own them.

Hope turned 13 months old on Sunday. She also is doing a good job of matching words with their representation. When we ask her questions like "Where is mommy?" or "Where is daddy?" she points to each of us correctly (regardless of who asks the question). We tried "Where is Hope?" and she started playing peek-a-boo. It's funny because it made sense after a second of thinking. Whenever she put a blanket in front of her face, Brooke would say "Where's Hope?" and when Hope removed it, Brooke would say "Peek-a-boo". Guess we'll have to work on that.

Today, Hope decided to climb in her green stroller and check it out (see picture on right). She spent some time looking out the back, sitting, and kicking the trash can. She is definitely getting more curious every day.

I'm beginning to notice a bunch of little changes as Hope is growing. For instance, her hair is starting to really curl. I think she gets that from me because Brooke's hair is straight. Pretty soon, we'll have to see if she can start to use a spoon by herself.

That's going to have to be it for tonight. I've been getting into work later and having to stay late because of it.

Later,
Mark
